Onsen in Shuzenji

The oldest hot-spring resort in the Izu Peninsula where Kobodaishi (Buddhist priest) assumed to have opened in the year 807. It is said that an alkalescence simple hot-spring is effective in the sensitivity to the cold, the muscle pain, and the recovery from tiredness. The hot-spring resort town is opened in front of the Shuzenji temple, the symbol of the town, and has no entertaining atmosphere. It is a pleasure to take a walk in the town listening to the back-ground-music of murmuring of Katsuragawa River.
