Kamakura

If you want to see the historical buildings and temples, Kamakura is the best spot near by Tokyo. Kamakura was once the capital of Japan, and it was the fist government opened by Shogun.
This is one day tour to Kamakura. In the early morning tourists take express train from Tokyo to Kamakura. It takes about 2 hours.
They arrive at Kamakura and then take walk to one of temples. There are Hokokuji Temple, Enkakuji Enkakuji, Myohonji Enkakuji etc. in Kamakura. The distance between temples is rather near, so tourists can visit all temples. After visiting one of them they take lunch at Japanese food restaurant. Also Kamakura Daibutsu is famous.
They go to see Daibutsu. The Great Buddha of Kamakura (Kamakura Daibutsu) is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha, which stands on the grounds of Kotokuin Temple. With a height of 13.35 meters, it is the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan, surpassed only by the statue in Nara's Todaiji Temple. In the early evening they take JR express train to Tokyo.
